Vermont Department of Liquor Control Launches the 2017 Sazerac Antique Collection of Rare Bourbon & Rye Sweepstakes
MONTPELIER, VT - October 13, 2107
For the second year, the Vermont Department of Liquor Control (DLC) has launched the Sazerac Antique Collection of Rare Bourbon and Rye Sweepstakes. “The DLC is very pleased to announce this sweepstakes which is open to Vermont residents and provides the opportunity for winners to purchase one of five very rare bourbons and ryes.” said DLC Commissioner Patrick Delaney. “Our goals in creating this sweepstakes are to provide Vermonters with a fun opportunity to obtain these highly sought-after bourbons and ryes, and do so in a fair and transparent manner.” Commissioner Delaney added.
There are two categories, one for Vermont consumers and one for Vermont Liquor Licensees (restaurants and bars). Winners will have the opportunity to purchase a bottle at their choice of over 80 statewide DLC retail Agencies. Entries will be accepted from October 13th, 2017 to October 29th, 2017 at midnight, with the drawing taking place on Monday, October 30th, 2017. A list of all winners will be posted at the 802Spirits website and 802Spirits Facebook page, after all the winners have been notified by email. Delivery to the requested DLC Agents will occur before November 18th, 2017. Entrants are allowed to enter once for each of the five products listed, but are eligible to win, the opportunity to purchase, only a single bottle from the sweepstakes. Winners will be required to show proof of Vermont residency upon purchase. Licensees will be required to provide their DLC issued license.
These products are highly requested and available in very limited quantities in Vermont and worldwide. The listing includes the following: Sazarec 18-year Rye, Thomas Handy Rye, William LaRue Weller Bourbon, George T. Stagg Bourbon and Eagle Rare 17-year Bourbon, in varying quantities per product.
